New Halo 2 Maps April 17th

Halo-2-Maps-New.jpgIt’s not the Halo 3 beta but we will take it. Bungie has announced that on April 17th everyone can download two brand new Multi-player maps for Halo 2. The new maps named Tombstone and Desolation are re-imaginations of two of the most popular Halo 1 maps, Hang Em High and Derelict. Counter to what we were hearing earlier, the maps will be availible for those still playing Halo 2 on their original Xbox. There is a small loophole if you are an owner of a 360 though. You will not have the ability to pay for the maps with MS points, instead you will have to pay with a credit card. That is kind of a hassle for some, but I doubt it will affect too many users.

I do wonder though if the release of these maps are meant to keep Halo fans happy because the beta won’t be released until next month? It could even be to keep those without 360′s happy while others play the Halo 3 beta. Either way I guess I am glad to see something new in the Halo world. New maps will definitely make me wanna play a bit more Halo 2 until its older brother comes along.

No Sifer I am right, the points system only works with the 360,the regular Xbox just charges a credit card .
