Need More Proof The PSP’s Future Is Secure?
This week we’ve seen a few tidbits talking about big sales numbers for MHP2 on Sony’s little black handheld — which is a nice thing to see as a PSP owner who liked the US version of the original Monster Hunter Freedom — but there was another bit of news that’s more telling about the status of the handheld. This little-noticed news story isn’t about a new firmware feature, a big preorder for a new title, and it’s not even the welcome news that Monster Hunter Portable 2 will come to the EU and US in the 2007Q4 timeframe. It’s news proving that the PSP has arrived and the platform’s status is secure.
What? Where? What news? The news that the PSP is getting its own bowling game.
PocketGamer UK has the story on Brunswick Bowling, and while some of their comments sound sarcastic, they fess up and say they’re serious about how they’re often mesmerized by a good bowling game. No release date is known yet, but the typical sports game features of customizing your character and using officially licensed products and locations are said to be in the offing for the game.
You might laugh but ask any Tekken fan about Tekken Bowl and they’ll tell you how much fun a good bowling game can be.
