My Crackdown 2 Wish List
I have been playing Crackdown quite a bit lately and it has become one of my favorite games. That said, there are a few items and features that I would like to see in the next installment of Crackdown. This is my wish list for Crackdown 2, and I hope that all the guys and gals at realtime worlds do make a sequel because unlike Killzone, Crackdown actually deserves one. So please read and leave us a comment on what kind of features you would like to see in a Crackdown sequel.
5. More Weapons – While Crackdown does have a good stockpile of normal sandbox weapons, I would have liked to seen a bit more variety between them. There is no real advantage to using any other gun then the 800 round behemoth and a rocket launcher. Some futuristic weapons would be really nice to see in a sequel and could add a bit more replay value.
4. Harder Bosses – When you think of bosses in video games you think of challenge, but unfortunately as fun as Crackdown is, the boss fights are not very hard. They added elements of trying to find them and scaling structures to reach these bosses, but once you get there I would have just liked to have an actual fight on my hands. The next Crackdown needs harder bosses, possibly other rouge super agents.
3. Rooftop Car Races – One of the most fun things to do in Crackdown is to participate in the one of the many rooftop races. They are fun, challenging, and really addictive. While playing last night I thought how fun this could be if you were in a car. Imagine gliding across roofs in the SUV or supercar. It might be a challenge developing this idea to work but I think it would be a really cool feature, especially if you could race a friend.
2. More Online Diversity – Crackdown is a blast to play in co-op (when it works, right george?) and there is a lot they could do to make it even better. They need to incorporate more game types. Such as player vs. player and other types of competitions. I would like a game type where you and a friend battle to see who can kill the most gang members in an allotted time.
1. Just A Pinch More Story – I rarely complain when a game is lacking in story because I believe that it does not matter when the core game play is really good. This is why people overlook the story in Crackdown, but I do think that a storyline inside of Crackdown could help make the game feel a bit more cohesive. It does not have to be in-depth as a GTA game, but better characters and some well done cut scenes could help a sequel stand up against the likes of GTA.
Let us know what features you would like to see.
