LittleBigPlanet

littlebigplanet.jpgWhy do these people feel the need to run their game titles together in CamelCase so everything is hard to read? Anyways, LittleBigPlanet is coming to the PS3. It sounds a little bit like The Sims – you’ll have sock puppets as characters, and then place objects around them, and have object-based interactions. You’ll be able to share what you create with others over the Playstation Network. Apparently, it’ll be available for download later this year, and not purchasable on disc until 2008. Is this a new trend – offering the same game for download and on disc? Is it a new trend to release the download *before* the disc? Only time will tell.

Uh, I don’t know which is true, but everybody else says they’re releasing a demo this fall?

(The game seems so advanced already, I have no idea what they’re planning to code for all this time.)

Why are all the writers on this blog so damg bitter and bitchy? ‘I think this sucks and I hate everything about it but I have to write about it eventhough I don’t want to so I’ll try to make snide little comments and act like a pratt’. Even the people who post comments (yes you, garoo) act that way. What’s the reason for this wave of people feeling the need to act indifferent and unimpressed all the time by everything around them. When did everyone become such jaded bitter arseholes?

Suna I don’t think this article is particularly negative. Kat was just talking about how this game title is written in an unusual way, nothing more.

If you’ve got something to say about other posts, lay it on them in the comments. We’d like to hear what you think.

I just finished watching the high-res version of the presentation here:

And I think it looks like big fun, but only if it allows online multiplayer and integrates full voice chat. The goof-around factor in this stuff just looks enormous. We saw the developers accidentally staple flowers to themselves. Imagine what mischief one could pull if one really tried.

wow, suna, you explained EXACTLY how i feel about the game-hating gamers, these days. its like they are trying to be cool, by being stuck up.. for proof, go look at the posts about PShome, on this site. just hate hate hate.. and for what? a free service that promises to do really cool stuff!

as for this game, it looks like one of the coolest games to come out for any console in a long time. totally fresh.. theres online co-op, and the controls look fun.. and people making their own levels and sending them over the internet for anyone to play… wow, thats going to be HUGE! there could be thousands of levels.. essentially the biggest game of all time, if you played all of them!

I think this game looks cool too! What Paul said – the only thing I was “complaining” about was running the title together. And I’m not truly annoyed by that; I just think it’s weird.
