fighter-jet.pngWhile I hardly expect the nice guitar music in the background to appear in the game since this is a trailer, Codemasters has pushed out a pretty well constructed piece of eye candy for the upcoming PS2/PSP/Wii dogfighter. As I’ve mentioned earlier, I am keeping an eye on Heatseeker, which doesn’t have a concrete release date yet. I’m very impressed by the impact cam innovation, which could make for some great fun when the bad guys go kablooie.

It seems to me a dogfighting game would be an ideal candidate for online co-op or competitive play, particularly with voice chat. Wouldn’t it be nice to see a surprise like that? Well, no luck there. No plans for online play in this one yet, as far as I can tell.

Anyone else ready to give this game a try?

I’m been wanting a game that mashes up Burnout style arcade gameplay with Fighter jets for a long time. This game looks like it may actually do that. I am no fan of games like GT3/GT4/Forza and likewise I don’t care for the Ace Combat series. Far to slow, stale, and simulationy. I want fast moving, simple controls, lots of action. This game totally looks like burnout with fighter jets. It’s definitely on my……..radar! Yeah, I know, puns like that never gets old.
