Final Fantasy VI Advance for GBA gets 5 Stars

ff6a_gba_shadowed.pngMorgan Webb on X-Play has reviewed the port of Final Fantasy VI Advance and contends that it is the best Final Fantasy yet. Yes it is a port of the SNES version of the game, but with a cleaned up translation, a few new summons, and one new dungeon added to its excellent classic gameplay and story, she strongly urges everyone to play it and find out what made Final Fantasy so great. She then runs through every FF since then and why she didn’t like them.

If Nintendo gets to print money just by making the DS and GBA, Square Enix seems to have learned that providing stellar reissues of beloved classic games will let them print money as well. I’m not a Final Fantasy gamer by any stretch, but they are legion and with luck they’ll pick up the game and send a clear message to developers everywhere that recycling older games isn’t bad when it’s done as well as this one.

You can check out the video review, and the XPlay Video Podcast full list of shows.
