piano-keys.pngOver at Zelda Reorchestrated, they’re doing some really cool things. They’re making arrangements of the music from the Legend of Zelda games (which is some of the best music in gaming) in an orchestral style befitting the legend. These are MP3s that have been created from scratch.

Give it a listen. What I’ve heard has been pretty impressive. Liberties taken are not as great as one might expect, and it’s very true to the source material.

They’ve been around since 2004, and their stated goal is to have every song on the site for everyone’s enjoyment. One of the notable features on the site is the custom artwork they’ve created for each game, particularly dramatic for the games that had some lower-end artwork, like Link’s Awakening for Game Boy.

Zelda Reorchestrated has shut down permanently for unspecified reasons. Not a complete surprise considering the content.
