EU Gets Break on PS3 Game Prices
The first five PS3 titles from Sony for the European market will be priced less than expected, reports Gamespy, coming in at the same prices as Wii games in the PAL territories. The games will be in the equivalent USD$70 range while they were expected to match Xbox 360 titles currently priced in the USD$90 range.
As far as I can tell this is unusual. Typically the PAL territories get the short end of the stick not just in terms of release dates for games but in terms of pricing as well. Just ask any Nintendo fan how long it took for Animal Crossing to appear in the EU or in Australia. Now that I think about it, did it ever make it to Australia?
