Enjoy Gyruss Again On XBLA And PlayStation
It looks like Konami’s got Gyruss in the queue to show up on Xbox Live Arcade, perhaps as soon as next week. Gyruss is one of my favorite games, and while I don’t have a 360 I do have Gyruss on the Konami Arcade Classics collection for PS1. And that’s not the only game I like playing from that collection. It’s got:
Gyruss Yay I made it to Earth, do I get to stop and rest?
Yie-Ar Kung-Fu requires that you imitate how your character waves his legs when he dies at least once when playing.
Pooyan features pixelated bad guys that look like wolves.
Time Pilot is still a very fun shooter, and
Scramble is also a classic, but not as much fun as the others.
And the rest of it doesn’t really speak to me, sorry. That leaves Super Cobra, Roc N’ Rope, Circus Charlie, Road Fighter, and Shaolin’s Road on the sidelines. Into every retro collection a little shovelware must fall, but with so much good to play, I can’t complain. Also, if you weren’t born yet when Gyruss appeared in 1983, please keep it to yourself.
