Best Phone For Gaming
Who would’ve thought we’d be gaming on our phone as much as we do now 10 years ago? Then again, in 1998 I had a cell phone (the size of a military field phone) which had a few simple, and I mean simple games on it.
Pocket Gamer has put together a rather informative and in-depth look at the top-10 game phones at this moment and surprise, surprise – the fugly-looking Sony Ericsson W550i came in at number one. Why? Well it just seems like the W550i is centered around gaming as a phone then the rest of the bunch.
It is marketed as a Walkman phone but the handset can turn sideways for landscape viewing for more of that portable console playing-style. It has two dedicated fire buttons to the right, not to mention a bright and colourful screen. It is capable of handling the best that 3D games has to offer on a cell right now, it comes preinstalled with Worms Forts 3D and Extreme Air Snowboarding, plus it has a game-friendly directional pad.
I was hoping the Sony Ericsson K810i received more recognition since I own a similar K700i and absolutely love this line of phone from Sony Ericsson. I can still play 3D games on my phone and it is now 3 years old
Will a day come when we ditch our Nintendo DS or PSP for a phone capable of handling the same processing power. Who’s to say – but remember last year when there was talk of a Playstation phone? What the heck happened to that rumor story?
