Playstation Licence Plates, Since 1972

Aeropause reader Bill Tangeman is not a Sony fanboy by any means, he’s just unlucky. Bill didn’t request personal plates for his car but low and behold, they’re Playstationized. I’m really hoping he doesn’t get beat up by Xbox fanboys as he gets out of his ride everyday, even though he is one himself. He’s going to need more than a few stickers on his car to prove the rabid gamers wrong so I think he should get a custom Xbox paint job myself. That or sell the plates to a Sony fanboy and convince them that the Playstation has been around since 1972.
Read on for Bill’s experience:
I’ve been playing video games for most of my life and I’ve never much
cared what system I was playing on. However, a year or so ago when I
learned about some of the design choices Sony had made for the PS3, I
started to rethink my position. I hated the fact that they were
ditching rumble feedback and were instead shoehorning in some half
assed motion sensitivity. I hated the fact that they were sneaking in
their unproven Blueray technology like a Trojan horse. First
generations of these kind of technologies are typically fragile, slow,
and way overpriced. I resented Sony for making me chose a side in the
Blueray vs. HD DVD war before I was ready to do so. Add to all of
that the PS3′s sky high price and Sony’s arrogance leading up to its
release (and continuing most recently with Jack Tretton’s ignorant
statement in EGM) and I officially became a Sony hater. I bought an
Xbox 360 and a Wii and I haven’t looked back. I bash Sony at any
opportunity. I try to talk people out of buying PS3s and the cruddy
little PSP with its feeble battery.
So last week I go to get new license plates for my car and what do the
fools at the DMV hand me!?!? Sony Fanboy Plates!!! These aren’t
personalized, their just random. PSX plates. What the hell am I
going to do now? It’s illegal for me to cover the damn things up. I
guess I’m just going to try to find some Xbox and Wii stickers to put
on them. What else can I do?!!?
