ESRB Needs Raters
It’s too bad I don’t live in NY city – else I’d probably apply for this job, more so now that I have a kid. Can I telecommute? The ESRB is looking for a few good game raters and the criteria doesn’t seem to be too unrealistic:
- Experience with children
- Interest in and familiarity with video games
- Strong communications skills (verbal, written)
I just ask a favor to the folks who get the job. Be realistic and unbiased when you rate the games – unlike the MPAA. I don’t want to see a video game documentary movie about the ESRB like: “This Film Has Not Yet Been Rated”. Although I pose the question, should there already be one?
