Dracula X Version of SOTN To Have “All-New” Content

SOTN_This_is_new.gifI expected the unlockable Symphony of the Night in Dracula X Chronicles to be a direct port of the PS One version. If that were the case, considering it’s simply an unlockable in Rondo of Blood, I would’ve been completely happy with it. According to series guru Koji Igarashi, that’s not the case.

Koji spoke with numerous media outlets recently and stated that he, “won’t be able to resist the temptation to polish and add elements where he deems necessary.” While Gamespot couldn’t get the goods out of Igarashi, IGN was able to get him to admit that, “Symphony of the Night will boast some all-new additions” separate of the additional Sega Saturn content. Igarashi also admitted his distaste for the Sega Saturn port but didn’t confirm whether that extra content would make it to the PSP version.

I’m not a huge Castlevania fan but when a classic title like SOTN gets a face lift, I stand up and take notice. We’ll all have to wait until July’s E3 to find out how “new” this content really is.
