Burning Crusade Review at Strategy Informer

Submitted by on February 5, 2007 – 11:40 am5 Comments

bcbox.jpgStrategy Informer has a great review of Burning Crusade. It’s basically the review I would write myself, had I the time. Go check it out.

The shear scope of the World of Warcraft makes it near impossible to remark about everything, and although I feel this game should have nothing but compliments flying out the wazzo there

My eyes! MY EYES! Just the quote enough makes me look away in revulsion.

Shear instead of sheer? Wazzo instead of wazoo?

    “Not everything pans well”?

“A real meaty and exciting adventure”?

Overall WoW is still growing? Is there any concern about its growth, especially in a review?

    Bah.

    Easy, Turbo.

No one is going to force you to read it.

    Heh, Turbo.

Sketchy writing in reviews is one of my pet peeves. I’m probably oversensitive to it, but those things jump out at me.

I think that in the race to post something some of the smaller review sites don’t let something sit and get looked at a couple more times before getting posted live, and it hurts them in the end.

The misspelling of “sheer” stopped me from reading any more. If you want to be taken seriously as a reviewer or journalist, you should take the time to have proper grammar and spelling. Sure, mistakes happen, but come on.

Even if it’s the best review in the world, it’s going to be discounted if it looks like a 2nd grader proofed it.

Finally, someone who feels the way I do. Learn to spell, people!
