Bubble Bobble Revolution carts replaced

Submitted by on February 6, 2007 – 12:00 pm8 Comments

bbrevolution.jpgIt is the only right thing to do in this situation – Codemasters is replacing the Bubble Bobble Revolution cartridges that had a bug so severe that it couldn’t be played past level 30. They’ll send them out starting February 23rd, and are even apologizing for the length of time the fix has taken. Contact them now at their customer support page and they should e-mail you instructions for the replacement process. They’ll send you a prepaid envelope so you can return the faulty cart.

I remember hearing about this crippling bug, and that was a while ago. Did they ever say they were going to fix it, or did they leave owners stranded and just work on it anyway.

Good God, I almost bought this for my sister for xmas… Thanks to James for helping me dodge that bullet.

Paul, I think they had said something about they were looking into it.

  • Stephen

Yep. The game’s reviews pounced on the bug immediately and contacted the developer for comment. They said they were working on the problem and would replace the defective cartridges.

It took so long so that no one longer cares and they have to replace less carts resulting in less loss.

Well atleast they will replace it. Im happy for the people who bought that game and got a replacement. Would seriously be messed up if they didnt replace it. I had a faulty disk of Oblivion when i bought it. And all Microsoft said was buy a new one. And yes it came ruined in the box WITH the Xbox 360 seal. Go Nintendo

    Hey KTank,
Maybe you should contact the seller you recieved the copy of Oblivion from, not M$… if you bought it from a retailer and it was damaged in the packaging, the order by which you contact to get a resolution should be 1)seller – 2)publisher – 3)developer

Rarely is 1st party going to respond to broken merchandise they didn’t make.

A guy I work with received a sealed copy of Call of Duty for PS2 (that’s the Activision WWII shooter, right?) as a gift and opened it to find a completely empty box, no paperwork or anything. He brought it back to the retailer knowing full well how fishy it looked and they told him to call Sony. He called Sony and they told him to call Activision. Activision told him to send the box in and they’d replace it. Apparently a lot of boxes went out empty. Reminds me of the SimCoaster games that shipped without a product key, I got that and had to contact Maxis for a key.
