Frank: “Hey Bob, where is that GT4 media I asked for last week?”

Bob: “Oh uh, yeah. That. It’s on the server….you didn’t see it?”

Frank: “Ah no, didn’t notice it. I’ll go check.”

Bob: “Doh!” [Googles GT4, Copies and pastes first image he sees into Frank's server folder.] “Woo! Close one.”

If corporate America instated bamboo lashings for extreme employee offenses, this would most definitely have someone in Sony tied to a cubicle squealing like a pig. It just never gets any better does it. Horrible advertising muffs keep coming up that blatantly expose Sony’s carelessness, yet stupid crap like this keeps on happening!

In case you’re wondering, a banner ad at the top of the Sony Connect homepage for Gran Turismo 4 HD was created using a screen shot from PGR3. PGR is basically Gran Turismo’s main competition, (or Forza, take your pick. I might say Forza) It’s almost too ridiculous to imagine how something like this can happen.

Go inside for the proof. The images you see are original screen shots and images I personally collected, they are unaltered.

Here you go, see it for yourself or visit the links while they’re still active.

Sony has changed the website. The banner now displays a true image from GT4 HD.

Major Nelson even took a few minutes off of his vacation to rub it in..

“The headline says it all.

Until they fix it, you can see that clearly the main image used on Sony

Hopefully that’ll make it into the top stupid things of 2007 like the black and white ad for the PSP did in 2006.

Oh my sweet lord… I cannot believe this. I work in PR, and Sony’s ungodly ineptitude in these areas leaves me feeling drained and empty.
