The Best Games Money Can’t Buy
No it’s not a list of great games that got cancelled, or a list of out-of-print classics that go for zillions of dollars on eBay. It’s a list of free games for the PC that’s been compiled at 1Up: 101 Free Games (2007 edition). They include Toblo, which I’ve written about before, along with oodles of other ones. Some of these sound very interesting, and the list itself is at least worth a look, if for nothing else than the comparisons to some very cool old-school games you might wish get remakes.
I get extra nerd points for knowing Raid On Bungeling Bay. You get extra nerd points if you knew it was Will Wright’s very first game, and he has admitted to having had lots more fun drawing the cities than creating other parts of that game. Lo and behold, Sim City was born. Anyway, go check out the list and let me know what games you like that they’ve mentioned.
