Smooth Moves better than Twilight Princess!
Gamespot, the gaming megasite that recently gained attention by incensing fanboys everywhere with their Twilight Princess review, giving it a (disappointing?) score of 89, has a review of Smooth Moves coming in at 91. It’s really a meaningless pair of numbers of course, but it’s fun to antagonize the thin-skinned with such hyperbole as in the title of this article. Just look at Freckles here, he loves it. He is laughing, right?
In reality, the reviews cover a pretty broad range in both directions of an 84 average, from a 7.0 at EuroGamer to this really high score at GameSpot. For me, the reviews at IGN seem to land pretty closely aligned with my own opinions, though I’ll admit Matt Cassamassina’s reviews usually match me more than Mark Bozon’s.
MetaCritic’s strongest reviewed WarioWare is the only one I’ve never even seen: WarioWare Twisted, the GBA game with the tilt sensor built-in. The only one I’ve played at great length is the first one, so I’m really looking forward to Smooth Moves. I’ll let you know what I think once I’ve given it some play. Anybody else planning to pick this one up?
