I'm confident it will outsell Sonic regardless of merit. It's worth noting that a $50 package that comes bundled with a $40 controller means the game is $10. I hate to break it to you, but wii play is not the standout title for February. It's crap :) It's worth picking up once, but only if you need the extra controller. It *might* last you half an hour if you've never used a wii before, because that's all it's intended to be.
