Aonuma and Kondo to join Miyamoto at GDC 2007

gdc2007-speech.pngWhile it recently became known that Shigeru Miyamoto would be delivering a speech at GDC this spring, The Wiire is reporting that Eiji Aonuma (director, Majora’s Mask, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess) and Koji Kondo (composer of every Nintendo video game song that’s ever been stuck in your head including the Zelda theme) will also be making speeches at the event. What’s going on here?

Last year, Kirby creator turned Nintendo president Satoru Iwata was the only Nintendo person who spoke at GDC in San Jose. He took the opportunity at his keynote, “Disrupting Development,” to unveil Phantom Hourglass for DS and annouce that Genesis and TG-16 games would be on the Virtual Console. This year, they’re really pushing themselves on the show. It makes one wonder just what they’ll have to show.

Shigeru Miyamoto’s keynote is to be called “A Creative Vision”, Aonuma’s will be “Reflections of Zelda”, and Kondo’s, “Painting an Interactive Musical Landscape”. GDC starts March 8th.
