Zelda DS Now Carving Pumpkins in ’07?

Tom_DELAY.jpgZelda fanboy site Hylia has stated that The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass has been delayed until October 15, 2007. While it was originally delayed to March 1, 2007, apparently issue 165 of Game Informer states that Phantom Hourglass has been delayed into the next holiday season. EBGames still lists this title for March of 2007 (also highly unreliable), so obviously this is still a very early report.

That’s a pretty massive delay, thankfully I had enough of the Zelda titles since my N64 days. I’ve heard from a few people that the handheld Zelda games were some of the best, so I’m sure DS fans are a little miffed.

I don’t believe a release date was ever announced. At the end of 2005 I believe they said 2006. Now saying 2007 is more like sliding a window than delaying a game, per se. These sites seem to not be able to just say TBA until an actual date is given. I read of a lot of people getting upset about game delays when no release date’s been given, and that seems a little weird to me.
