Woot sells 80 PS3s in 4 min 37 sec

Last night at midnight Central time, Woot put up 80 20GB PS3s for sale. The last one was sold at 12:04:37am. That’s an average of one sale every 3 seconds, according to their stats page on the product. The 20GB models were sold at the standard $499 price; however, they shipped them next-day air for free.
Woot sometimes puts up a “Bag O’ Crap” for $1, and you get whatever is in that bag, be it a broken TV remote, an actual working gadget, or naval lint. In the last Bag O’ Crap, several lucky people got a Nintendo Wii for $1.
Will Woot have any more consoles? Who knows, but if you want a crack at them, you’d better be at your keyboard at midnight Central. Wouldn’t hurt to already have a Woot account, too.
