(Not So) New Rally X on Live Arcade, With Video!

Submitted by James Munn on December 27, 2006 – 8:59 amComments

newrallyx_title.jpgFor any of you trapped in an office right now, you’re pretty lucky, because New Rally-X is today’s Live Arcade title. There are people I know who buy every Live Arcade game the instant it’s released but it’s titles like this one that could break even the most die-hard impulse buyer.

I’m not saying that this version of New Rally-X is flawed in any way, but it’s still a re-release of a 1981 Namco arcade game. A game that has probably been included in every Namco arcade collection since arcade collections began. Said collections have rarely sold for more than $19.99 and included anywhere from 15-30 games.

Microsoft should consider selling bundles of these arcade titles at a slightly discounted price because $5 for New Rally-X alone seems pretty steep. Especially when remixed versions are available on other collections, like the Namco Battle Arcade Collection for PSP.

Continue on to observe my New Rally-X skillz.
