Bored and in need of a little platforming love while you wait for your downloads? Head over to http://www.mission-in-snowdriftland.com/ and play a cute little platformer from Nintendo. You play a poor snowman who keeps getting miscast and abused by game designers, and so he goes to apply for a new job. Meanwhile, a villain named El Pix has stolen some video game files from the human world and brought them back to his realm of video game world, called Snowdriftland. Snowdriftland is extremely cold – only someone with a tolerance for cold can save him. Hooray for the snowman (who, near as I can figure, is named Chubby) – UPIXO, the United Pixelheroes Organization, hires Chubby to go to Snowdriftland and stop El Pix.

The game is done in an advent-calendar style – one level is released each day, through December 24th. You can, of course, play previous days’ levels, so there’s 10 up as of this post.
