Halo 3 Casemod is Backwards Compatible

IMG_0942.jpgWe all do stupid things, and usually we catch on before we share it with thousands of other people. But unfortunately this young man, who decided to cut out a big 3 (done in the Halo 3 font) didn’t realize which side was which and ended up just devaluing his new console.

The young man was so proud of his work that he posted it for all to see. He only realized what he had done after forum posters made him aware. In a way I feel sorry for the poor guy. It was a simple mistake that he will have to live with forever…or not. If I was him I would just cut out the rest of the side panel and put in a piece of Plexiglas and then make a nice Halo 3 sticker, or he could sell it in eBay as an oddity. Either way it’s all good.

    Jesus. What an ass.

Heh I like your title for this post quite a bit.

Ouch… I think that the worst part is that the 3 came out really good!

All he needs to do is do is cut it out correctly on the other side, put plexiglass in there, and then it might look like it was done on purpose (so you can see through the 3′s )

He could put some LEDs in the case to project light through the cutout. Projected onto a wall, the backwards “3″ would be reversed and therefore look correct.

Or he could put the case near a mirror so you’re seeing the logo reflected. Combine that with 11440′s LED idea and he’s all set.
