DS motion sensing thanks to homebrew card

There’s a new DS motion card that includes a 3-axis accelerometer and single-axis gyroscope functionality. Confused yet? That means that it can sense both tilt and twist. NDSmotion.com has developed 3 titles that will be used on the card – DSaSketch, for using your DS as an Etch-A-Sketch, and two other underwhelming games titled Water Drops and Spout.

The bad news: You have to know how to run homebrew on your DS, and since the card takes up the DS slot, you’re pretty much limited to the games on the cart, unless they develop some kind of plug-through cart. It’s not out yet but you can preorder it for $25.

The developer is going to give away a few of the carts to those who want to develop games for it, so check out the GBADev forum topic if you’re interested.
