Trixie to EA: You’re Raping Gamers

Submitted by George Walker on November 3, 2006 – 7:24 amComments

trixie.jpgEA has released the list of paid content for Need For Speed: Carbon, and it’s short on value and long on paying for more cheat codes. The Xbox Community Editor, “Trixie” expressed what we all are feeling at this point:

Did you see the teenager who confessed to raping his mother? Either he’s watched way too many French films, or he works for EA.

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

All these game companies are seeing what they can get away with, I just hope people are not buying this crap, it will only egg them on to do this more.

very true and to all the people out there that says well you don't HAVE to buy it you can just unlock it. But sooner or later the only way to get some stuff will be to purshase it.

Sure enough, it's been deleted. By the way, Major Nelson's blog is not part of MS, but because Major works for MS, he has to be careful about the stuff he posts.

I applaud Trixie's courage to say it like it is even if it's on her boss's site. It's always good to see someone on the inside with negative opinions towards the obviously bad decisions made by greedy corporate pigs. MS is also to blame for not enforcing a fair pricing model or for even allowing micro transactions of content which resides in the game.

I'm sure she got in trouble for this, but regardless of the consequences, we need as many people as possible to speak out against this kind of behavior before it becomes a trend and eventually, normal and expected.

Oh man, that's a really inappropriate and insensitive comment to make on their corporate site. I don't think that post will be up for very long.
