The Beat Continues
The excellent audible output of the PSP has made it the home of some awesome music games. Lumines, Lumines 2, Every Extend Extra, Gunpey, Gitaroo Man and most-importantly, DJ Max Portable. It’s bizarre that DJ Max Portable never hit the states, everything I’ve seen of it is absolutely stunning.
Luckily, DJ Max Portable 2 is in development for a 2007 release. Ruliweb has some screenshots but it’s not about the pretties, it’s all about the tunes. DJMP2 will feature 60 all-new music tracks and what seems to be 150 total tunes from all previous DJ Max titles. The Korean translation of the site seems to mention something about “web play” but I’ll wait a bit before I assume Infrastructure multiplayer is included.
I’ll keep my eyes out for this one, hopefully it hits the States. Until then, I really should get around to importing the new International Edition of DJ Max Portable. Wish it wasn’t still $50 but it could be worse, I could be paying $90 for the Presige Collectors edition.
