Well, if you factor in not having a job, school or a life then doing anything is worth it..isn't it?

Actually depending on how long you wait in line it may actually be worth it to resell. Your saying they are better off getting a job. Some simple math may prove this wrong.

Think about it. You wait in line 48 hours before it opens. This is what im going with, because I work at a Best Buy, and thats when we started getting our first customers in line. Now you buy a PS3 for $600. Assuming that you sell the PS3 for at least $3000, you will make a $2400 profit. Now unless you know something that I dont, thats 2400/48, which would be roughly $50 an hour. I know A LOT of people who don't get paid that much.

Obviously this isn't factoring in taxes and what not, but again you will probably sell it for at least $3000, so I think that little bit is ok if I leave it out.

If you look in e-bay there are already PS3 preorders going for around $3000, and the console hasn't even been released yet, meaning that when it does come out, and people dont get one then they will start biding like mad. I am gonna guess that the ebay sale prices will exceed $3000.

I would definetly camp out and resell it if I didn't have a job, school, and a life.

So again, can you say its not worth it to sit in line and resell?

Same thing in Mesa, AZ. I laughed seeing the line of about 40 people camping in front of Best Buy when the store already told me they expected 3-4 PS3s at the most and aren't opening at midnight. So they will be sitting there till Friday at 9 am. Weather is beautiful here now though so at least they have that going for them.
