Lost Planet Multi-Demo 11/23, Pre-Order Bonus
I reported a few days ago to expect a Lost Planet Multiplayer demo soon, possibly as soon as next week. Well, I was half right. The demo is coming but in two weeks, not one.
Gamespot is reporting that a Lost Planet multiplayer demo will hit the Xbox Live Marketplace on November 23rd, Thanksgiving Day in the US. The demo will feature one map and allow 16 players to battle it out over four different game modes. I’m pumped about the demo but not that it’s launching on a national holiday. Most of the country isn’t even going to be home to enjoy it, why bother? The next promotion answers that question.
Capcom is also running a Pre-Order bonus plan on November 24th called, “White Friday” (For our international readers, the day after Thanksgiving is normally considered “Black Friday” because retailers consider it the launching point for the holiday shopping season. Everyone’s off from work so the fools hit the mall.) Those who pre-order Lost Planet on “White Friday” will receive a special version of the multiplayer demo that will include a second map. Now that’s a great incentive to pre-order, I might just take them up on that.
Lost Planet is still on track to ship in January, 2007.
