How NOT to Fight a Berserker in Gears of War

I completed the single player campaign in Gears of War this weekend. Immediately afterward, I wanted more and started trudging through on Insane difficulty. I don’t know if I’ll have the patience to play through it that way alone, possibly in co-op with a friend.

I’m disappointed with the multiplayer in Gears. Don’t get me wrong, the gameplay is awesome but the game modes and limited amount of players takes away from the fun for me. I know the current selection of maps probably wouldn’t work with more than eight players but Gears is sorely lacking some larger maps with varied “UT Assault” game types.

Here’s hoping Epic comes through with some more online game types. However, I don’t think the eight player limitation will be raised. I can’t imagine the system handling an 8 on 8 assault match.

I learned this to the hard way upon my first encounter with this beast. Not knowing what he could do – well, I…died a few times.

The 4v4 works very well for style of game, any more would crowd things to much. There is a lack of options but the game is far far far from being any kind of dissapointment.
