Gears Lives Up To The Hype!

I have not yet gotten my hands on my copy of Gears of War yet but early reviews are already out and they are all overfilling with praise for Epic

You know, that comment from 1up is making me excited now. I absolutely love when something in a game can make a sound that gets your hair standing on end. Whether it be the sound itself, or what the sound is heralding.

This better be good, because if it isn’t!!!! *shakes fist at monitor vigorously*

Why do these “reviews” sound like fanboy reviews?..ohh wait, they were written by IGN, Gamespot & 1up on VIP copies of GOW. I’ll wait until fellow adults in the know chime in with their analytic observations before I make an educated selection.

after having some playtime with this i can say that it is nothing short of a masterpiece.

A perfect 10?! I think 1UP may have been a little too liberal on that one. Perfect 10′s should only be reserved for games that are flawless, innovative, and truly change the face of gaming. OoT was a 10, Gears of War is not. It’s sad to see reputable gaming news sites be swayed by hype. Then again, 1UP was the one who had that “controversy” over the Neverwinter Nights 2 game review.

Yeah this is on my top 5 best games ever played… And I havent even started single player… Me and a bunch of coworkers were on the first night, playing it live last night… The Online is just… Amazing. The help your buddy up system is SWEET!

Oh my god. I played GoW on Xbox Live for five hours straight. It\\\’s the greatest game I have ever played and I have gone through all the best titles. It\\\’s so intense and beats the crap out of any PS3 games.

If GoW proves to be worth its weight in gold and single handedly defends all inquiries into its integrity, then I will stop whatever I’m doing and induct GoW to my official, the one and only, must have, Wish List; along with a black 360.

I played this game about 6 hours online last night — all I can say is the difference between it and crack is you don’t have to pay for this after the first day.

Ummmmm thanks Epic —– I was up until 2am playing this, all I could dream about is this, and even though I have to be at work soon I can’t go until I’ve played some more — one more time.

This game is amazing — and hella hella hella fun…

I’m withholding any commentary until I have a chance to play this game on a colour television. It seems that my old TV is only displaying in black and white atm.
