*Yawn* PSP Firmware V2.82

Submitted by on October 26, 2006 – 11:39 am4 Comments

system_updates282.jpgI’m as big a PSP fan as they come, but even I have my limits. Today, Sony has released V2.82 of their system firmware, which includes nothing but vulnerability fixes in the system software. Why do they even bother releasing an update like this without any new features to bribe us into upgrading?

I used to download every single firmware right away and the system has evolved into an excellent little multimedia device. But I waited to upgrade to V2.81 until last week and I don’t see myself jumping to this V2.82 anytime soon. I’m going to hold out for the PSOne emulator upgrade, 2.82 is a waste of time.

i agree , i have updates to 2.82 and i wish i havent of done it , you carnt run homebrew games on it or anything . and now i carnt even downgrade my psp . the thing now is that sony put new firmware version on nre games and you have to update to play the game. never get v2.82 for psp. its rubbish

IT annoys me that they came up with v2.82 because I downloaded it and it has no new features its just trying to stop homebrews. some on will figure out a downgrade eventually.
