Woohoo! Everything online in the PS3, from normal multiplayer to video chat to surfing the ‘net, is FREE! The only time you need to purchase anything is if you choose to buy something from the store. And no silly points systems – it’s all listed in your local currency. The Playstation Store will have homebrew titles (like Fl0w) and PS1/PS2 titles for download also. In the future you may even be able to buy music and movies! The PS3 features a full browser with a bookmark system, although the OS is upgradable like the PSP’s. You can have multiple user profiles, as well as a master account that can limit the access of the other profiles. On top of a game you’re currently playing, you can get notifications of friend sign-ons with a little pop-up. Texting is said to be easy too.

All this via PS3 Fanboy.

First they copy off of Nintendo, and then Microsoft. Their innovation never ceases to amaze me.

THIS WILL BE WAY BETTER THAN THE RIP OFF THAT IS XBOX LIVE. THE 360 IS ALREADY DEAD IN EUROPE AND JAPAN AND IS STILL BEING OUTSOLD BY THE PS2 IN THE U.S. AND SOON THE HDDVD DRIVE WILL DIVIDE THE FEW FANS THAT THEY DO HAVE.
