Video Games Rock!!
Recently I have taken note to the fact that people are forming bands and trying to recreate video game music instead of learning how to play Sweet Child o’ Mine on their guitars. And, yes, I too am guilty of this as I started a band dedicated to all-Nintendo jams and songs called Error, named after the infamous and mysterious character in Zelda 2 for the NES. Why? Because I love games and the I feel that music in a game is just as important as any Kiss or Aerosmith song. I really think video-game based music is awesome. I love to hear how the artists remaster the classics we grew up with, and add sweet twists to it.

(My favorite part is at 55 seconds from the end, but that’s just me. x|) If you haven’t heard of them, you should check ‘em out on MySpace or http://www.metroidmetal.com. And, no, I don’t work for ar in any way am affiliated with Stemage.
Video games can have great music. I love a lot of the Zelda music because it has really catchy melodies and themes you can remember easily. I love how beautiful the orchestral movements of Halo sound. Sometimes, I’m even guilty of head-banging to old tracks from the original DOOM.
