I love adventure games, and it sounds like there’s a great one for the DS coming in March of 2007 called Undercover: Dual Motives, created by Austrian developer Sproing. It’s actually a prequel for the company’s just-released (in the EU only) PC adventure, Undercover: Operation Wintersun, but this one will be able to stand alone. The game is set in 1943 during World War II, and scientist/spy Dr. Russell and his secretary Audrey investigate a German threat. We’ll be able to switch between the heroes, and it sounds like plenty of traditional adventure/puzzle elements will be included. The release is currently scheduled for Germany first, but here’s hoping it makes it to the US – otherwise I will have to import!

  • Yip!

I used to hate adventure games, but then the DS sucked me in with games like Trace Memory and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, and now I love them. So I’m excited about this game too, as well as Touch Detective, Hotel Dusk: Room 215, and Phoenix Wright: Justice for All. It’s a huge plus that the graphics in this one look flippin’ sweet for a DS. I hope it comes out in America, and if it’s good, I hope Wintersun comes out in America too. The only screenshots I can find of Wintersun are in German or something. And who knew Austria made games. I kinda forgot they even existed.
