Sony’s Gamer’s Day showed off some of the PSP-PS3 connectivity, seen at PSP Fanboy. First, a movie that was playing on the PS3 was paused and then resumed on PSP. No more pausing your movies if you have to go to the bathroom! Then, the PSone game title download was demonstrated – download games on the PS3 and then transfer to the PSP.

Next, PS3 Fanboy has the details on the PS3′s mutlimedia functions. You can choose your own display settings, resolutions, and audio settings – the display settings come with images so those of us who aren’t video cable experts know the right setting to choose. Blu-Ray discs load in 10 seconds flat, although you have to choose to play Blu-Ray movies (while Blue-Ray games load automatically). You can rip CDs to MP3, AAC, and ATRAC3 formats at up to 352kb/s, and the PS3 will get track info from the AMG music database. Connect your PSP to the PS3 via USB and you can play the files on the PSP through the PS3. (They’re unsure if this can be done through WiFi.)

Finally, there’s a mysterious listing over at EB Games’ site that offers a PS3-PS2 controller adapter for $4.99. PS3 Fanboy speculates that this could let us use the PS2 controller on the PS3, therefore gaining rumble functionality.
