Microsoft Orders ‘Major’ to G4TV

Major Nelson is the Xbox trump card...You hear that? The Enterprise in Redmond is on red alert. Sirens are blaring and talentless extras dressed in skin-tight, same-colored uniforms are scurrying through the hallways of Microsoft. It seems nothing Microsoft has attempted so far has extinguished the hatred of a gamer scorned.

Unfortunately, Microsoft has no phasers or photon torpedos to unleash on us. They cannot sue us or buy out our corporation to quell our innovative ideas. What can they do to convince us that their twisted ideas about micropayments are actually a good thing? Major Nelson, make it so.

That’s right, Majornelson.com informs us that Larry Hryb will be making an appearance on G4TV to talk “micro-transactions”. Major Nelson is Microsoft’s trump card when it comes to the gaming community. If he comes out and says, “Micropayments rule!” or something to that effect, it could really set off the Xbox fanbase even more. Quote from the blog:

I wonder why everyone holds MS up as the whipping boy for their scorn of micro transactions. MS gives the developers/publishers options, they do with them what they please. Sony is doing the same thing, I don’t know about Nintendo. It’s interesting to me that people can get so upset about optional content. Don’t like, don’t buy it. If the market agrees, micro transactions will go away.
