Iranian Video Game Depicts Blowing Up U.S. Tanker
I really can’t describe it any better than Reuters did:
A new Iranian computer game sets players the task of blowing up a U.S. tanker in the Gulf to block the sea route for much of the world’s oil supplies, a newspaper reported on Saturday.
I know there are going to be a lot of people that want to point at this and say that a game like this is going to encourage and/or train terrorists to actually do this kind of thing. We always think this sounds silly when applied to games like Bully or even Battlefield 2.
I must admit, I find myself wondering if a game like this, ironicly named “Counter Strike”, has gone too far. But is that hypocritical when I don’t even bat an eyelash at games like Splinter Cell or Call of Duty 2?
I don’t know. . . .
