BAFTA.JPGThe BAFTA Awards have come and gone and Gamasutra has a full breakdown of the nominees and winners. GRAW took home the Best Game and Technical Achievement awards and Locoroco for the PSP won Best Character and the Children’s Game award. Other notables was Brain Training for DS, which won the Innovation award.

Continue on for a full list of winners for every category.

Note that the winners below are only based on games released this year. I’m pretty indifferent about most of the results, although I think they could’ve found something better than Stormreach for best multiplayer title. I think I’d rather play rock, paper, scissors.

Innovation: Brain Training

Artistic Achievement: Shadow of the Colossus

Character: LocoRoco

Strategy: Rise And Fall: Civilizations At War

Casual & Social : Buzz!: The BIG Quiz

Screenplay: Psychonauts

Children’s: LocoRoco

Gameplay: Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy

Simulation: The Movies

Multiplayer: Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach

Action/Adventure: Shadow of the Colossus

Technical Achievement: Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter

Sports: Fight Night Round 3

Original Score: Tomb Raider: Legend

Soundtrack: Guitar Hero

Audio: Electroplankton

Game of the Year: Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter

Gamer’s Choice: 24: The Mobile Game

Hop over to Gamasutra for the all the nominees.

I agree with pretty much all of those… but for the multiplayer… Were there really any even decent multiplyer games released this year? DEFCON is pretty good multiplayer, but that was just only recently released so might not’ve made the cut. I dunno, maybe I’ll need to give D&D online a closer look…
