Gaming Addiction: Your Results Are In.

On September 22nd, I asked you all to answer four simple questions about your gaming habits. Now that it’s been out there for awhile and we’ve gotten a considerable amount of votes, I thought I’d share the results.
First off, I’d like to thank everyone for voting. This obviously isn’t much of a science experient, just consider it a confirmation of how your gaming habits stack up to the others of the Aeropause community and beyond. Feel free to comment about the results below.
Considering the successful response of this one, I already have more plans for more of these surveys in the future.
Q1: On average, how often do you stay awake longer than planned to play a video or computer game?
42.1% Often, sometimes on a work/school night.
26.8% Occasionally, never on a work/school night.
13.7% Almost every night. /help /cry
8.7% About five days a week.
4.9% Often, never on work/school night.
3.8% Never.
Q2: Have you ever taken a day off from work or school for the sole purpose of playing a video or comuter game?
54.7% Yes
45.3% No
Q3: Have you ever partially ignored a valued relationship with family, friends or a loved one for a video or computer game?
63.6% Yes
36.4% No
Q4: Have you ever been fired from a job, failed a class, or lost a relationship solely because of actions related to your video game habit?
71.33% No
18.67% I failed a class.
9.33% Someone left me because of my gaming.
0.67% I was fired from a job.
NOTE: For Q4, I stupidly did not add a “No” answer, so I used the average votes of all the surveys then subtracted the actual votes on the survey. What I was left with was entered as “No” on Q4.
