Good news for those of you who’ve bought a Nintendo DS Wifi dongle (as I had to because my router didn’t work with the DS): It’ll also provide wireless access for the Wii. Hooray, Nintendo, for providing a two-in-one device! Cost-saving measures like this are always appreciated. Now if Sony had only taken a similar measure and included their memory card adapter in the box, they might be getting some applause too.

if the wii already has wifi then whats the point?

Red, some routers aren’t compatible with the DS, and I imagine it will be the same situation with the Wii.

the wii does not have an ethernet port that is why this is so important. an ethernet adapter will also be sold seperatly. SORRY.

if only nintendo had taken a similar measure and included their n64 cartridge/ethernet/dvd/webrowser adapter in the box, they might get some applause too.

  • Sweet.

Sweet. I’ve got a Wifi connector for my DS since I don’t have a router, good to know it’ll work on my future Wii. And what’s a “dongle”?
