10 Ways That The Console Wars Remind Me of High School

In less than 2 months the console war will be in full swing. All three big wigs will have their consoles on the market and gamers will finally get to choose which one they would like to purchase. The next five years holds a lot of promise if you are a gamer but at the same time I realized just how underhanded and seedy the competition between these companies has grown. In fact it reminds me of how people thought and acted in high school which is why I decided to put this quick list together. The list itself is in no real order so feel free to rank them yourselves. Enjoy!

    To Acer589:

Wrong... Reggie would use his chin to kill them...

#1. Is there even any question as to who would win that fight? Reggie would just sit on the other two until their lungs collapse.
  • The shop for #8, cheerleaders is disturbing. Awesome article!

Great article, and so true. If the companies stop bashing each other, I think they'll set an example to us gamers. I look forward to the day I don't see another attacking or Vs. thread ever again. In the end it's just how much money you have and what you prefer.

You are right sir anonymous. It was wrong because it was wrong when i looked at my high school yearbook (1996 - god I'm old) so I must have lost my head there for a while. It's been updated and is now correct, thanks for pointing that out, proofreading drives me nuts

I think the biggest poser of all time was J Allard and his feeble attempt to be accepted by the cool kids. Oh how I miss his keen sense of style (really who would have thought to wear a hoodie under a sport coat before e3 '05?), and who can forget the picture of good ol' J laying down in the middle of a press conference, just to show how laid back and cool he is. (Gamers Everywhere-"That's just how I lay when I play video games!") Keep on rockin J eventually the Jocks will accept you.

Great article, everything you said is so true. Console Wars so mirror HS that I'm surprised that I hadn't noticed earlier.
