The President of SCE held a small Q&A session after the press conference and dropped some new info.

The 20GB PS3 will now include an HDMI port and will be priced at at $429.99 in Japan (US still $499.99 for now). The inclusion of HDMI with the base model shows that Sony is listening a little to the community. With the 360′s inability to push true 1080p in games or even movies (true folks), there are at least SOME positive news coming from the Sony camp.

But who wants the base system anyway?

I, for one, might want the base system,
because it looks nicer to me in all black
    than the
    chrome-whore-pimp-my-shiny-thing model.

  • will

If the base ps3 is a bad deal at 429 then the inferior 360 at 400 is deffinately a bad deal.

  • Hector

@will – Inferior, are you freakin stupid!

  • red

hector there is no way to deny the fact that the premium 360 is inferior to the low end ps3. it lacks bluetooth, bluray, and now hdmi. the ps3 even has an extra usb port and dont forget motion sensing.

red, you forgot about linux and the on board webrowser. unless you purly speaking of hardware features.
