Lost Planet To Cost Over $70 In Japan

Capcom confirmed some details today on Lost Planet for the Xbox 360, which has a scheduled release date of December 21st, 2006 in Japan (Q1 2007 in the US). Apparently, the game will retail for 7980 Yen, which is about $70 US. I don’t know if Capcom or Microsoft plans on shipping the game in a diamond crusted case, because that sounds like an extremely high price for a struggling console.

This is probably my most anticipated title coming for the 360 and I thought the E3′06 Demo was absolutely fantastic. Let’s hope that rediculous pricing structure doesn’t carry to the US, but don’t count on it.

I was trying to ask what Capcom was charging, in Japan, for it's other high profile games?
  • What are other Capcoms other "High expectation" retailing for in Japan? is this in line? We all know that a direct currency conversion isn't a good guage of native percieved cost.
