La maquina De Bailar: DDR Movie

Submitted by Shane on September 12, 2006 – 5:17 pmComments

It’s like the Spanish version of the 80’s video game movie The Wizard starring Fred Savage, only this one is about DDR dancing games. I sense the all too common clich?

AHH! I'm mexican and I can get most of it but (no offence or anything) spanish people talk all weird...... well it's harder for me to understand it. it also may just have been the audio. if I can get a hold of a good spanish/english dictionary I might have my friend help me sub this in the future.
  • I'm from Spain too.

The "misterious" word at the start of the trailer is "movida" (music tendence in Spain at 80').

I've seen the movie yesterday in the preopening and is very bad. Quite funnny, but very bad.

I think that there will be not an english version. But I hope ther will be a fansub version in the future.

    La m?
  • I don't think it's an overstatement to say that this will possibly be the best movie ever... right after Snakes on a Plane...
  • Quick change:

Coach- Yes. You have it. It's...the eye of the tiger... "The eye of tiger" (as the song)
  • Spanish speaking reader to the rescue!

"La maquina de bailar" = -roughly- "The dancing machine" or "The machine for dancing". It's quite hard to nail the exact meaning in English.

    English translation:

Coach- In the 70's, the one who didn't know how to dance or martial arts...was a nobody.
    Main Character- And what happened?
Coach- The *inaudible* came (I can't get what he says)... F'n move!

    Bullie1- Hi there fattie!
Bullie2- We were eager to see you, tough boy!

Bimbo- Do you want me to do something for you? I can spread my legs!
Guy1- I hope you do it at home!!

Announcer- Nobody else than... The universal champion of the "Dance Machine"!

Main Character- We all know that I don't have any chance.
Coach- Yes. You have it. It's...the tunnel sight...the eye of the tiger.

Main Character- You're a son of a bitch!
Guy in a suit - Note for the future: Ask my mother for a DNA test.

Off voice - On cinemas on september 22.
