Bioware Developing Japanese RPG for DS
Word on the street is that Bioware has created a Handheld division to focus on developing for the Nintendo DS and Playstation Portable. Apparently, their first venture will be a DS title and a job posting on the Bioware website states:
– Experienced in the production of licensed properties
- Experience/passion for Japanese games an asset.
Licensed properties, ay? Gamespot seems to think that they’ve shown an interest in bringing Neverwinter Nights to handhelds in the past and there has been a recent influx of hardcore RPG’s in development for handhelds (D&D Tactics and Dungeon Siege for PSP). Bioware might would be smart to toss their hat into the handheld ring before it’s too late. They have just the right IP’s to succeed.
Neverwinter Nights on my PSP would be ex-cellent!
