Xbox 360 Live Vision Camera Impressions
After calling about 20,000 freaking Toys R Us locations I managed to hunt down one that was selling the 360 Vision Camera. The store was a hour and a half away, but the chance to get one a month early is worth the drive. When I arrived there were at least 15 cameras on display in their electronics section. Once I had receipt in hand I asked the lady why they were selling them ahead of schedule. Her reply was that if it was supposed to be held until a certain day the stock comes in with special directions and a sticker. She then went on to state that no such sticker was present on the stock they recieved. Seems a small technical goof is my good fortune! I head home with two new 360 Vision Cameras in hand to test out.
Inside the box this is what you will recieve:
- Xbox Live Vision Camera
- XBL Headset (standard)
- Brochure that contains codes for a free Arcade Game, and 1 Month of XBL Gold
- Instruction Manual (DUH)
Good deal for $40 considering that the headset goes for $20 by itself.

The camera integrated well into the dashboard and was quickly picked up when plugged in the 360. The video quality is very good and so far I have not noticed any issue with lag or video distortion. I plan on doing a UNO marathon tonight to check out the camera in greater detail. I will post my updated impressions tomorrow, so come on back now ya hear!
