Xbox 360 Core Price Dropped… in the UK

Yep. Gamesindustry.biz confirmed what Microsoft has been denying for weeks.
UK retail has confirmed to GamesIndustry.biz that Microsoft has officially dropped the RRP of the Xbox 360 Core pack to GBP 199, effective from today.
That is a price drop of… 10 whole pounds. Whee. It should be noted that the Premium Pack remains at GBP 279.
One can only speculate about whether we’ll see a price drop in North America, or even whether the Premium Pack will drop at all. I know when I bought my 360 back in April, I had a heck of a time finding a Premium system, whereas Core systems were stocked aplenty. So, if I were MS, I wouldn’t bother cutting the Premium for some time. But, we’ll see.
