Hey Chuck he was refering to the 500 dollar model wich is only a 100 dollar diferene from the 360.

The ps3 is a much better value than the 360. At 500 dollars it can replace most peoples pcs. Most only use there computers for webrowsing and word processing and with the inclusion of linux the ps3 has both. A 360 for 400 and pc for 500 and hd dvd player for another 500. Or ps3 for 500 wich replaces all of the above.

I like it when people list all of the functions of the PS3. The assumption is that if the price is justified then people should buy it. The price of a mansion may be justified, but I am not in the market. The price of a PS3 may be justified, but I already have a computer and am looking for a game console I can afford.

What exactly does it mean, though, when the editor of a big magazine says they won’t buy a system? So she won’t have one waiting at home after 8 hour days of playing a PS3 in the office?

OK let me get you straight anonymous, doing everything that the 360 can do should cost $200 more. Almost everything you listed both consoles do, and so far the PS3 has yet to show one game with better graphics.

Blu-ray is a joke and 1080p is barely better then 780p. You need to come up with other arguments to justify your purchase buddy.

Seeing the two above posts, ranting by EBGames jerks and a newsgroup sony buttsniffer called BligMerk, the PS3 is the greatest advance of home entertainment ever and is easily worth $1000!

Sony and many accolytes think just because sony puts their name on it, people are going to flock like lemmings. Sorry it’s all about the games. And right now Xbox360 has the edge and the sony fanboys can’t stand it.

btw, I have a PS2 and still quite pleased by it. But when I upgrade, it might just be the 360 or wii.

Theres a 500 dollar ps3 also wich has a bluray player,1080p,harddrive upgradable with any 2.5 inch drive,ps1 and ps2 bc,movie picture and music playback off the hardrive, webrowser,probably rss,linux,the ability to transfer media(music,pictures,movies) to the psp ,bluetooth,4 usb ports instead of 3, motion sensing controller,free online gaming,better graphx,multiple user interface,wallpaper custimyzing,ps1 game downloads,and most importantly THE ABILITY TO OUTSELL THE PS2.
